History

                                               GLORY HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSITY

Atyrau University of Oil and Gas has been developing its history since 1959, when the educational and consulting center of the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute was opened in Guryev (now Atyrau). This was the beginning of the training of highly skilled oil workers in Kazakhstan.

  • 1959 - in Guryev (now Atyrau) was opened educational and consulting point of the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute. This is the beginning of the preparation of students in 20 specialties in Guriev
  • 1978 - ECP of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V.I.Lenin
  • 1980 - General Engineering Faculty of KazPTI
  • 1988 - Educational and Scientific Center KazPTI. In three specialties "Drilling oil and gas wells", "Chemical technology of organic substances", "Construction of highways", students were admitted to full-time study, the first two courses were taught at the ESC KazPTI (graduated from KazPTI)
  • 1990 - KazPTI branch, the first set of students who have been studying at the Branch for all 5 years (specialty "Drilling oil and gas wells", "Chemical technology of organic substances", "Petroleum machines").
  • 1994. -Institute of Oil and Gas of the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev
  • 1996 - joining the Institute of Oil and Gas to the Atyrau State University
  • 1998 - By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 24, 1998, the Institute of Oil and Gas was removed from the structure of the Atyrau State University and defined as an independent state higher educational institution - the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas.
  • 1999 - by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 28, 1999- The Institute of Chemistry, Petroleum and Natural Salts of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan is connected to the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas
  • 2012 - Reorganization of the university into the Republican State Enterprise on the right of economic management "Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas"
  • 2016 - By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 25, 2016, the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas was transformed into the Non-Profit Joint Stock Company “The Atyrau Oil and Gas University”.

PARTICIPATION OF UNIVERSITY IN REALIZATION OF SPIID-2 AND ROAD MAP OF INDUSTRIALIZATION

AUOG was among 10 + 2 Kazakhstan universities for training high-level specialists for the implementation of SPIID-2 in the field of "Oil and gas business" and "Chemical technology of organic substances".

Four innovative laboratories were equipped and put into operation:

  • Laboratory of production of petrochemical products
  • Laboratory for the collection and preparation of well products
  • Virtual deposit
  • Research of oil and oil products

154 teachers and researchers of AUNG were trained in the courses of advanced training and received certificates in foreign partner universities:
